Lontong or rice cake is an Indonesian food made of rice wrapped in banana leaves and boiled in water for several hours. Because it’s boiled in banana leaves, rice cake can be green colored on the outside, while the inside is white. And, because it’s boiled long enough, the taste becomes much more subtle and softer than ordinary rice.
Lontong mostly found in various regions in Indonesia as an alternative to white rice meals. It is usually served with satay, salad, or curry goat.

Is it sweet?
No, it’s tasteless as rice
So you add something for taste? I have not heard of this?
Ya, we need to add some side dishes.
Thanks. I’ve added some more explanations.
Thanks I would love to try it!
I’ve eaten such rice in the Philippines. Also , rice cooked in bamboo. They taste so good.
